Dry still · 8% ABV · Single-variety Egremont Russet · Wild fermented
The Egremont Russet is one of England's finest apples — nutty, aromatic and wonderfully complex. We wild-ferment it without any additions and let it express itself fully. The result is a dry, serious cider with a character entirely its own.
This is not a cider for the faint-hearted. It's a cider drinker's cider — demanding your full attention and rewarding you for it.
Tasting notes
Deep gold in the glass. On the nose: toasted almond, melon, and a hint of dried apricot. The palate is dry and structured, with good tannic grip, a nutty richness and a long, complex finish with light oxidative notes from wild fermentation.
Food pairings
Brilliant with mature hard cheeses — aged Cheddar, Comté, Manchego. Also wonderful with roasted root vegetables, mushroom dishes, or a charcuterie board. A serious food cider.
About the apples
100% single-variety Egremont Russet from our Tenterden orchard. Wild-fermented using only the natural yeasts on the fruit skin — zero additions throughout the whole process.
